Family Portraits
October 22nd, 2008 Posted in PortraitsAs scary as it is Christmas is only 9 weeks away so we have had an influx of portraits over the past few weeks. We also had a stand at the Pregnancy, Babies and Children’s expo in the city over the weekend and the response was fantastic. If you are keen to get a family portrait done over the next 6 months please book in soon as by the middle of next month we will probably be about 90% booked out so get in early.
We headed to Selby to get some natural portraits of the Burgess family and Michael’s tricked up Tarana. We had a great time and got some shots they made into a nice framed collage for their home.

For the Smidt’s Family portraits we just took some fun shots in the backyard, when people are in their natural surroundings they are quite comfortable and relaxed which makes it easy to get the shots I want. We had a lot of fun getting the photos and watching their three dogs go crazy while we were taking the pics.

The Wylie family were the luck winners of a $900 voucher we donated to the Bimbadeen Pre School fundraising night and we headed to Lilydale lake for their shoot. The girls had a great time running around and I got quite a bit of exercise that day.

This is the second shoot we have done of little Cruz, he is the son of Lauren & Michael a wedding couple we photographed a few years ago. We are doing a 3, 6, 9month and 1 year shoot then putting them all together for a nice canvas collage for their house. He enjoyed this shoot much more than the first and he didn’t stop smiling the whole time.

Every year I do a photo of my niece and two nephews for their family Christmas cards, it is great to put all the cards together and see how the family has grown, I think we have done about 5 now. While we did the photo I also got a shot of Mitch for Charlie & Claude which is a shop in Berwick for their catalogue modelling some of their new stock.

Kyah was great to photograph, she smiled and posed and didn’t cry once which made my job very easy. I really like the shot where she is lying in Simon’s arm with his tattoo’s showing, he did get a little wet just before this shot which was quite funny.

We photographed Brodie on Tuesday but had to process the photos quickly as Narelle & Craig live in Dubbo and are only down for a few days for a wedding. He wasn’t too keen on the whole photography thing at the start but slowly warmed into it and we even got a nice shot of his grandparents who’s house we did the shoot in.
