With three weddings around Melbourne this weekend I wanted to put up some photos from last weekends while I had the chance. I had two great weddings last weekend, both very different but equally fun.
Meril & Joe got married at Ballara Receptions on Saturday, it was an interesting wedding in the fact that Meril is Turkish and Joe is Italian so it was great to see the mix of different cultures and traditions.
As you can see below Joe was the happiest guy in Melbourne on Saturday.

This shot captures some of the frivolity of what went on at Meril’s house in the morning, there were drums a trumpeter and dancing relatives it was great.

I love the lines and angles in this shot

This is a Turkish tradition where Meril’s brother tied a red ribbon around her before she left for the ceremony

A great shot of the happy couple coming out of the church after the ceremony, these shots are great as you can see the happiness on their faces.

The chauffeur getting in on the action.

The little page boy wasn’t keen on being dressed up or having his photo taken so I grabbed a quick shot of him resting on the couch before the reception.

I stayed for their first dance and captured this nice moment.

Another Turkish tradition of pinning money on the dress, how good is that – all you single guys out there marry a Turkish girl

Some fun on the dance floor

Nardene & Paul’s wedding was on Sunday at Poet’s Lane and was a beautiful day, the bridal party were heaps of fun which makes my job easy and I had a ball. I have Jessica & Ben’s wedding coming up next year who were both in the bridal party so that should be a lot of fun as well.
We did a pre wedding shoot with Nardene & Paul a few weeks ago, it is a great way to get to know the couple and how they photograph before the big day.
There is something about this shot that I just love.

I’m always looking for different shots and when I set Nardene up near the window I saw her reflection in a painting on the wall so I just angled it a little for this look.

This is a beautiful moment between Nardene and her dad.

I really wanted to show off the shape of the dress and the tear drop veil so I set up a flash behind Nardene to get this classic image.

The girls doing their day at the races pose with shoes in hand.

To get a really natural shot of Paul I told him to look out the window at his mates.

A nice natural shot of the boys.

This is a really fun shot and I think it shows their connection and personalities well.

A great shot of the bridal party having some fun together.

I wanted to get an image that incorporated the car the big tree and the couple and it came out just as I was hoping.

A nice moment inside the Chrysler which is from Enrik Limousines

I stayed for the whole reception and this is a lovely shot of Nardene & Paul during the speeches.

The bouquet toss., can you guess who caught it from this photo.

It was quite a funny garter removal and this is a classic shot!

And what an exit Paul picked up Nardene and danced her out of the room.
