I was recently reading another photographers blog and she mentioned the importance of photographing your friends, family and those dear to you as you don’t know when they won’t be with you. This immediately reminded me of a photograph I took of my wife’s step dad and his dog when we visited them last year. Sadly Bob passed away last month but this photo is really special to the family now. It was taken because Sam the dog was sick and we wanted to get a good photo for Bob.
It doesn’t matter if you are a pro or just take a photo with a point and shoot, you never know when you will look back and those simple moments and portraits will mean more than you know.
