Trash the Dress
May 27th, 2008 Posted in WeddingsI thought I would take the opportunity to give everyone a sneak peek at something new we will be offering at JD called ‘Trash the Dress’.
The idea of the shoot is to have fun and get some more stylised portraits that you wouldn’t get on a normal wedding day and can be done with a friend or your husband. Why spend all that money on the dress only to wear it once, get it out again and have some fun.
The shoot obviously takes place some time after the wedding and you can go as extreme or safe as you want in how dirty you get the dress.
My lovely wife Heidi & our friend Kate were kind enough to offer their services (and dresses) all in the name of art. Heidi’s dress did get quite dirty but I am assured by the dry cleaners it will be good as new where as Kate’s dress came out relatively unscathed.
Although it rained all day and it was only 9.5 degrees!! we had a ball and got some fantastic images.
