Cradle Mountain

Earlier this month I took a few days off with my wife Heidi to attend a photography seminar at Cradle Mountain in Tasmania.  There were some great speakers like Sorrell Wilby and Bill Henson who were fantastic to listen too as well as a few wedding and commerical photographers who were quite inspiring.

Cradle mountain is a beautiful place to visit and we ventured out for a hike up the mountain one afternoon.  The below image is where we started our ‘little walk’ and in the background you can see Cradle Mountain.

This second photo was taken after a 90minute hike up the mountain and you can see where we came from.  It was one of the most pristine enviroments that I have had the pleasue to be in, the air was so fresh and the view in every direction was sensational.

As you can see from the next two photographs the shoes and clothes that I was wearing weren’t the best for scaling mountains in two foot of snow but I managed to get up there without falling off the side.  When we left for the walk I was told it was and easy stroll around the mountain to take some photos!
