The annual judging of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers awards recently took place in Brisbane. Each photographer is allowed to enter up to four images so this year I decided to enter and put three in the wedding category and one in portrait catergory.

I was suprised and thrilled to be informed that I won three silver awards for my wedding images and just missed out on the portrait image I entered. The images are judged by fellow photographers and there were over 2,500 entries from all over Australia so it was a great achievement for the studio.

Needless to say next year we will be going for Gold! The three images are below, see if you can pick which one scored the highest out of the three.

This was a quick snap of the girls getting out of the rain at Matt & Elouise’s Wedding. I love the simplicity of it and the striking red dresses.

This image of Daniel & Sandi was taken infront of a funky grafitti wall and the movement through the dress and veil makes the shot.

This last one was a case of being in the right place at the right time. I set Lea, Josh and the bridal party up and as I was about to take the shot a dust storm just went straight through them and this is the resulting image.
