Carly & Nik got married at Ballara on the Monday before Melbourne Cup, it was a nice to photograph a wedding without having to worry about the possibility of rain for a change! Ballara is a great place for wedding photography as it is all in the one spot with some beautiful gardens to take advantage of for the family and bridal photos.
I had a great time working with the bridal party, it really makes the day a whole lot more enjoyable when you can have a bit of fun with them and it shows in the photos. I am really lucky that pretty much all the wedding couples that book me are fun and relaxed and trust me to get the images that they want and just enjoy the process and let me do my thing.
It is no accident that this is the type of couple that book me to capture their wedding, all my advertising and website etc are geared towards attracting a certain type of couple. I want to be photographing fun, relaxed couples that want something a bit different from their wedding photography. So I emphasise these things in my advertising and website by showing these type of images. I understand this type of client because I am the same and love the same style as they do which makes it a perfect match, the couples are happy because I captured the style of images they wanted and I am happy because I can be creative and have a lot of fun with some great people.
