Indian/Italian wedding at Potters

I have done Indian weddings before & I have done Italian weddings before but never mixed into one fun, colourful wedding like I photographed on Saturday. The ceremony, reception, dress, music and dancing were all a great mix of both cultures and it made for a great photography. We were a bit dubious about the weather but we got lucky and the sun even poked it’s head out for a few shots later in the day which was a welcome surprise.

When Elisa & Rahoul told me a few things they had planned for their wedding like the opera singer and the bollywood dance they put together as a surprise I was really looking forward to photographing the festivities. Everything just worked together brilliantly and Elisa’s dress was amazing and offset by the bright red of the bridesmaids it really made my job too easy.

I found it hard to narrow the images down for this post so their are a few more than usual – enjoy!

Nicole & Bill’s Wedding

Nicole & Bill had a very intimate wedding at Medhurst Winery with only 18 people present to help them start their new life together as husband and wife. There is something special about small weddings where you get to know and talk to all the guest and you can really feel the love and connection between everyone lucky enough to be there. It is quite an honour to be able to have a job (if you can call it that) that allows you to partake in such special moments in peoples lives.

It was a pleasure photographing Nicole & Bill’s wedding and because the whole day was so laid back it made my job much easier and suited my style of shooting so we got some magical shots. As I was leaving they gave me a nice bottle of Red from the winery to enjoy which was much appreciated and topped off a great day.

Wedding at Potters Reception Centre

Wedding season has officially started up for us and we kicked it off with Kylie & Daniel’s wedding at Potter’s Reception Centre in Warrandyte on Saturday. It was just one of those weddings that it was a pleasure to be at, everyone was so easy going and accommodating which makes my job a breeze. When the bridal party feel comfortable around you it is much easier to capture the true moments and emotion of the day.

We have around 19 wedding to shoot before the year is out so I will try and blog as many as I can so watch this space.
