We are back! after a couple of well earned weeks off JD Digital are back in full swing with all the new year weddings and a bit of catching up on the blog! Last year was a big year for JD Digital with the opening of the new studio, three silver awards at the AIPP awards night and a new addition to the JD team -Adele. Thanks to all the happy couples and families we photographed last year and thanks for letting us capture your memories, bring on 2009.
Selvy & Chris were our lucky last couple for 2008, they tied the knot at Bram Leigh Receptions which by the way the new owners have in tip top condition. They met while both working at Red Rooster so that is where we did their pre wedding shoot to get them prepared for the big day. They were both so happy all day and were a real joy to photograph.

I love getting shots with old cars and this Torana was a beauty.

Selvy’s bouquet was so vibrant which really suited the couple and the day.

I have been experimenting with sun flair and I love this shot the flair almost looks like the shape of a love heart.

A nice moment.

We kicked off this year with Mel & Matt’s wedding at a small church in Monbulk then up to Sky High Receptions to finish the day. It was an intimate ceremony with Matt’s Uncle doing the honours and many family members and friends doing readings which really personalised it. Mel & Matt were both great fun and it is the first time I have seen a bride climb a tree for a photo!
Guitar hero seems to be the new way to relax for the boy before the ceremony.

The girls were much more focused on the task at hand.

You can often see the relief and joy on the couples faces when they walk back down the aisle after the ceremony.

I liked the texture of this wall at Sky High.

A bride in a tree who would have thought!

Playing around with the sun and glare again, you always get an interesting picture.

Mel & Matt didn’t want a traditional cutting of the cake shot. so this was the result.

The last shot of the day of the bridal party of the balcony.
